Fiddler On The Roof

Pastiche’s 2003 show was the Broadway classic Fiddler On The Roof.

Set in the little village of Anatevka, the story centres on Tevye, a poor milkman, and his five daughters. With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instil them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia. Rich in historical and ethnic detail, the show’s theme of tradition cuts across barriers of race, class, nationality and religion, leaving audiences crying tears of laughter, joy and sadness.

The score features songs including If I Were A Rich Man, Do You Love Me?, Tradition and Far From The Home I Love

The show raised a record £2,750 which was donated to The Samaritans.
